The wind, however, was perfect for seeing the saw windmill in action! Seeing how the clogs are made was interesting and we were all amazed at the variety of clogs on display. We also enjoyed seeing the cows being milked and tasting all the cheeses at the cheese farm. The highlight of the tour was in Volendam, when we were given a personal tour of the Smit Bokkum Smokehouse by none other than Jan Smit after we had enjoyed a delicious lunch. All in all, a wonderful and informative tour!
