Golden Age Delft

Your personal driver will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to Delft on what is going to be a day full of Dutch history and culture. Famous for its Delft Blue pottery, the city of Delft is where the foundations of the Netherlands were laid by William of Orange, Father of the Nation, who revolted against the king of Spain and declared an independent state: the Nothern Lowlands. William the Silent was assassinated in the Saint Agatha cloister, now Museum the Prinsenhof, where you can still see the 400-year-old bullet holes in the wall. Independence meant the new Nation started flourishing like never before. In the field of art, masters such as Johannes Vermeer and Pieter de Hooch found their inspiration in Delft. Visit a 17th century Blue Delft pottery factory and climb the 365 steps of the New Church, you will be rewarded with a stunning view of this deeply Dutch town. You will breathe history while wandering the romantic streets along the cosy canals.

The Hague

Not far from the picturesque town of Delft, another historical city is the next stop on this tour: The Hague. The city of The Hague is the heart of the Dutch democracy. Your private chauffeur will explain you about the Binnenhof, home to the government of the Netherlands. Dating back to the 13th century, this is the oldest House of Parliament in the world to be still in use. Marvel at masterpieces of Rembrandt and Vermeer, such as The Girl with the Pearl Earring, in the 17th century Mauritshuis and visit the majestic Peace Palace where the International Court of Justice is located.

Madurodam

After a delicious lunch in one of the many international restaurants in The Hague, you will continue this tour to explore the entire country of the Netherlands in one park. Madurodam is where you find the miniature version of this country, its most important cities and landmarks in 1:25 scale model replicas. A great trip for adults but even more for children. Let’s see if you can find the Dam Square in Amsterdam, the Dom Tower in Utrecht, the New Church in Delft and of course the Binnenhof in The Hague!
